DERMATOLOGY
We have accumulated an enormous body of information and data related to aging. Many skin conditions have to do with some of our focus of research, like inflammation, oxidative stress, pathological aging, etc. Since we also generate many interesting molecules that could have clear potential to help people with these conditions, we have launched our Dermatology Division and focused on developing the best products to help people in need. We focused on:
a ) Psoriasis
b ) Acne
c ) Rosacea
d ) Down syndrome (and similar)
e ) Advanced skin aging
To do so, we have developed a new family of peptides able. Once on the skin, they can sense key variations in skin pH that happen with these skin conditions. This triggers them to self-assemble in a 3D network that will have the following effects:
- Rebalancing the skin pH to healthy values.
- Significantly increasing skin hydration, since our peptides are highly hydrophilic.
- Increasing the skin barrier, which is the protective layer defending skin against aging.
- When the skin pH is back to normal values, the peptide de-assembles and is prepared to function again when the pH value leaves the normal and healthy value range.
